Accolades for
the upper station building
The new station stands on the same spot as the earlier building, which had to be demolished in 2016 owing to its poor condition. The original building had served as the upper station for the chairlift from Trojanovice to Pustevny ever since 1940. The earlier building had also contained a return wheel, and was gradually extended to include a ski-hire shop, buffet and WC. Thanks to sticking ever more extensions to the old building, finally it was no longer suitable for further use..
The new station is a modern building constructed from stone, wood and glass. It is the work of Kopřivnice architect Kamil Mrva, who for years has been collaborating with the municipality of Trojanovice and has worked on the shape of the Radegast Beskids project. The entire building has been designed with the natural location in mind, so that it fits perfectly into its Pustevny setting.Building of the Moravian-Silesian Region 2017
