The construction of the original cable car took place in an incredibly short time and under exceptionally adverse weather conditions, with temperatures dropping to nearly -30 \u00b0C. On January 8, 1940, the establishment of the upper station began. <\/div>\n
The test ride took place on Saturday, March 3, 1940, and regular operations began the following day. In the first month, more than 3,000 passengers were transported. At the same time, seven cargo vehicles were used for transporting visitors’ luggage. Between 1941 and 1942, the lower and upper stations of the R\u00e1ztoka-Pustevny cable car were constructed. <\/div>\n

In 1956, the Czech Railways (\u010cSD) began a general reconstruction of the cable car. The mechanical and electrical equipment was modernized, and the original supports were replaced with lattice steel structures. <\/div>\n
The transport rope carried 89 new seats, and at a speed of 1.7 m\/s, the capacity increased to 321 passengers per hour, with the travel time shortened to 8.1 minutes. It operated regularly until December 31, 1982. During its existence, it transported nearly 6 million passengers. <\/div>\n

In the late 1970s, a decision was made to replace it with a new cable car. This was built between 1983 and 1986 and began operations on January 1, 1987. It is a single-cable circulating lift Tatrapoma TS-2 with two-seat chairs. The lower station is located significantly lower in the R\u00e1ztoka valley, nearly doubling the inclined length of the cable car. <\/div>\n\n
The new route has a total elevation gain of 400 meters. The transport rope features 162 seats. Each year, the cable car transports over 200,000 passengers. <\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOur TS-2 cable car is a classic type of lift, meaning the chairs are permanently attached to the cable. When boarding or disembarking \u2014 whether at the upper or lower station \u2014 for example, parents with small children, elderly passengers, or individuals with mobility impairments, our staff will slow down or temporarily stop the lift.
