Sand Sculptures

Pískosvět was created out of the enthusiasm of two people, who wanted to in Pustevny create something extraordinary – a project, which will entertain visitors, will connect art with nature and at the same time will draw attention to important issues of today .

In Pustevny, this summer, sand sculptures sprang up under the open sky. Each year has its own unique theme, and this year we invite you invite you to the endangered world of birds – among the species that appear on Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

This year marks the seventh edition of the exhibition, and we are delighted that it has become a traditional and popular event in Pustevny, attracting visitors year after year.

We would be delighted if you visited our Pískosvět, enjoyed the fruits of our artists’ craftsmanship, and took home a moment to reflect on the beauty and fragility of the nature around us.

Admission to Pískosvět is voluntary. The proceeds from the voluntary admission fee will be used to cover the costs associated with the construction of sculptures and as a contribution to organizations that are involved in the protection of nature and endangered species.
ATTENTION! Change in the location of the sand sculptures.

This year, you’ll find Pískosvět in front of the Tanečnica hotel.

Parking

Main catchment parking lot, closest to the lower cable car station to Pustevny. Total capacity of 450 parking spaces, monitored by a camera system, and is paid. The price for a passenger car per calendar day is 120 CZK.

Transport

THE BEST WAY TO PÍSKOSVĚT IS BY CABLE CAR!
We recommend taking the cable car from the village of Trojanovice. The parking capacity at Pustevny is limited.

The Happy Forest Association is organizing the exhibition as a charitable project aimed not only at entertaining visitors but also at showcasing the beauty of art and the talent of sculptors in creating sand sculptures. However, the main idea of the project is to inspire visitors to reflect on responsible behavior toward the environment. That’s why the exhibition will include an educational trail focused on endangered animals, designed to engage the whole family. The exhibition will run throughout the summer holidays and, weather permitting, will continue through September. Entry will once again be free of charge. Visitors are welcome to contribute a voluntary donation, which will go to organizations working directly in regions where endangered animal species live, supporting their protection efforts.
